You just think those people in high school are missing something because it's got a nostalgic value for you. You probably had great times looking to that music, because it was the best at the time, but I'm pretty sure if Nirvana would start making tracks today they'd be pretty underground, they just don't fit in. People even play those ugly 8-bit games saying they're still the best there is, but I'm pretty convinced that's just because it has a nostalgic value too. I can't imagine that you can get more fun out of those old games then the now advanced game,they usually make up bad reasons too.
Aphex Twin is still a genious though.
